Business Structure
The Board
The Dairy Farmers Board has the key role of governing the operation of the Co-operative and at the same time acting in the best interests of members as well as other stakeholders including employees, franchise owners, customers, consumers and the community in general.
Accordingly, the Board seeks to ensure that all appropriate policies and practices of the Co-operative will achieve the business objectives in a manner which meets the Co-operative’s social and legal responsibilities.
The Board has two committees, an Audit Committee and a Human Resources Committee, both of which report to the Board and which operate in accordance with separate Board-approved charters.
Board Structure
The Dairy Farmers Board is made up of nine directors. There are five farmer directors and four independent directors, one of which is the Chairman and one is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
