Australia’s dairy industry is worth billions of dollars and employs tens of thousands of people, from dairy farmers and vets to truck drivers and shop assistants.

A number of key organisations have been formed to carry out various roles for the industry, or to represent different sections of the industry.

Dairy Australia (www.dairyaustralia.com.au) is responsible for research and development, market and trade development, information services and other services to support Australia’s dairy industry.

Dairy Australia does not engage in the direct manufacture or processing of dairy products. Dairy Australia works with the dairy industry to deliver benefits for the industry as a whole.
