Life on a dairy farm is always interesting. Take a look at what our farmers deliver, apart from milk that is!
- An average Dairy Farmers farmer produces approximately 1.1 million litres of milk per year
- Dairy Farmers’ farmers’ cows produce approximately 20 litres of milk per day per cow. This is the equivalent of 80 - 100 glasses of milk each day
- Dairy Farmers’ farmers employ more than 2,000 people on their farms around Australia
- Cows are milked at least twice a day, every day of the year (including Christmas day, weekends and public holidays)
- About 140,000 to 150,000 cows are behind the milk that is supplied to Dairy Farmers every day
- These cows eat more than 2.5 million tonnes of feed each day
- Total milk produced by Dairy Farmers farms is more than one billion litres.
